ANDY O’NEILL, Drums
He has been playing drums for over 20 years and teaching professionaly for 15. Originally from St. Louis, MO, he moved to NJ to study Jazz Performance at William Paterson University. While at WPU, Andy had the opportunity to study with master drummers John Riley and Horacee Arnold. He also performed with Carmen Lundy, Andy Gonzalez, Wynton Marsalis and Bob Mintzer. He has studied privately with such great drummers as Jim Chapin, Chuck Silverman, Ignacio Beroa, Billy Hart, Kenny Washington, and Butch Miles. Upon graduation, Andy began his freelance career performing with a wide array of artist in all musical styles. He has performed at such NYC venues as Symphony Space, the knitting Factory, CBGB’s and the Mercury Lounge. He has also performed extensively throughout the Carribean with Carnival Cruise lines. Andy hopes to continue to grow in his performance and teaching abilities.
