Ryan Flannery, Guitar/Singer
Ryan Flannery is a 26 year-old singer/songwriter from Dumont, NJ. He began playing guitar at age 12 and started writing his own songs at 14. For the last eight years he has taught guitar, vocals, bass, drums, and piano to ages 5-65. He earned an Associate's Degree from Bergen Community College in Music Business in 2011 and followed it up with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Industry/Production from Ramapo College in 2014. In 2015, Ryan performed and instructed music at summer camps all over the Northeast with the touring group, Rock Star Camp. Soon after, he performed at Nassau Coliseum with Latin pop star Luis Fonsi, writer of the 2018 Grammy award-winning song, "Despacito". Since then Ryan has played festivals and events in which he has opened for the likes of The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, Sebastian Bach, and Daughtry. He also had the pleasure of performing for the Clinton Family on multiple occasions.
Ryan's teaching method is based largely off of self-discovery rather than strict formula. He believes music is the ultimate form of expression and self-discovery and always strives to encourage his students to bring him music in which they identify with on a personal level. He thanks music for not only the successes in his professional life but for helping him grow as an individual. Ryan hopes to share that with all of his students and create an environment that is not only educational but organic and therapeutic.
