ABOUT LAUREN… Lauren is a lyric soprano from Bergenfield, New Jersey, quickly becoming known for her expressive interpretations, pure tone and versatility. From a very young age, Lauren was completely immersed in music. During her childhood, she starred in school musicals and sang at church functions frequently. She then went on to high school, where she fell in love with choral music and rock and roll. She fronted a rock band with her father and brother (3D ROCK BAND) when she was 16, and became a licensed songwriter and vocal arranger (ASCAP) at 17. Soon after this, she became a session singer and started singing in recording studios all over the Tri-state area. During her career as a singer, Lauren has had the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall, the Theatre at MSG, Quad Studios, The Stone Pony, Water Music, NJPAC, and even tour in London. Currently, Lauren studies voice with Valerie Van Hoven, holds a B.A. from Montclair State University and is studying Music Education/Jazz and Classical Voice/Conducting. She is the soprano section leader/soloist for Melodia Women’s Choir of NYC and is a cantor for the Archdiocese of Newark. She also sings in an acoustic trio, with weddings band and even an oldies tribute! Lauren is passionate about singing, and wishes to share this with all of her students. “Those who wish to sing always find a song” – Swedish Proverb.
